Responsibility

The Indian Army Training Command (ARTRAC) is responsible for the conduct of all types of training leading to effective human resource and leadership development in a complex operative environment of jointness and technological advancement. It is also tasked with promoting coordination and interoperability with other armies to enhance the ability to conduct joint operations effectively. It conducts multiple such courses and training programmes for officers and men from Friendly Foreign Countries.

Vision

Aim

The aim is to foster strong bonds between students of Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC) and training establishments. The Friends For Life (FFL) web portal will be a medium to reconnect and serve as a springboard for further involvements. This Friends For Life (FFL) web portal has been developed in order to maintain a life long connection between the training establishment and students of Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC). It will facilitate students from Friendly Foreign Countries for sharing their suggestions and feedbacks.

Aim

History

The Army Training Command (ARTRAC) was established on 1 October 1991 at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh and moved to Shimla on 31 March 1993. The main aim of the command is to maximize effectiveness of the training. In 2019, it was decided to merge the Directorate General of Military Training (DGMT) with ARTRAC.
