History

Army Training Command known as ARTRAC was raised on 01 October 1991 at Mhow and moved to Shimla on 31 March 1993. ARTRAC ensures effectiveness of training, formulates concepts and doctrines of welfare in the fields of strategy operational arts, tactics, training and human resources development. ARTRAC acts as the nodal agency for all institutional training in the Army and also evolves joint doctrines in conjunction with other services.
